About us

B2B trade deserves better software

We started Merkiz because we watched brilliant trading companies lose deals to fax machines, spreadsheets and webshop projects that never shipped.

Mission

Make launching a B2B store as easy as renting an office

Consumer e-commerce got two decades of relentless polish, while business buyers were left with PDF price lists and order forms. Our mission is to close that gap: every wholesaler, distributor and manufacturer should be able to open a world-class online store in a day — without a development team, without a consulting project, without risk.

  • Speed as respect

Your time is the scarcest resource in trade. Everything we ship must make our customers faster — launch faster, sell faster, get answers faster.

  • Boring reliability

B2B orders are payroll and livelihoods. We prize uptime, data accuracy and predictability over shiny features, every single time.

  • Customer proximity

Every Merkiz engineer spends time each quarter with real customers — in warehouses, at order desks, on sales calls. We build what we've seen, not what we've imagined.

Milestones

From side project to platform

  • 2021

    The first store

Merkiz begins as a custom ordering portal for a Lithuanian food wholesaler drowning in phone orders. It processes €1M in its first quarter.

  • 2022

    Platform launch

We rebuild the portal as a multi-tenant platform and open it to the public. Fifty stores launch in the first six months.

  • 2023

    ERP connectors ship

Native SAP and Microsoft Dynamics connectors go live, unlocking mid-market distributors. Merkiz passes 500 active stores.

  • 2024

    EDI & mobile app

The managed EDI service and the iOS/Android app launch together — buyers order from the warehouse floor, chains connect via EDIFACT.

  • 2025

    2,400 stores and counting

Merkiz stores process €34M in monthly order volume across eight languages, with teams in Vilnius and Berlin.
